Chelsea Ex-Lubeskie is the Business Development Manager at the MUSC Foundation for Research Development. In this role she manages the SBIR/STTR granting program for MUSC faculty startups, and is a resource to MUSC startups for business plans, pitch decks, and strategic planning assistance. She also evaluates a portion of MUSC medical device inventions for commercial potential, manages protection of intellectual property (IP), markets technologies to prospective licensees, and negotiates options and license agreements. Ex-Lubeskie serves as the Associate Program Director of the SCTR Therapeutics Translational Core which provides technology maturation funds, and is also a member of the Innovation and Industry Council of SCBIO.

Ex-Lubeskie holds a master’s degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University, and is also a former entrepreneur as a co-founder of Tarian Orthotics, LLC.
