XLerator Network

The  XLerator Network is one of four IDeA State Regions to receive a National Institutes of Health STTR award through the IDeA Regional Entrepreneurship Development (I-RED) Program. The Southeast IDeA States region includes six states (KY, WV, SC, AR, MS, LA) plus Puerto Rico, and our XLerator Network includes 25 academic institutional partners across this region. XLerateHealth is the SBC recipient of this grant, and the University of Kentucky is the Lead Academic Partner.

The objective of the XLerator Network is to foster the translation of promising biomedical discoveries and technologies from research laboratories into commercial products. We currently offer a number of virtual commercialization programs and other online resources; and through the I-RED program we will develop, launch, test, and validate a suite of online entrepreneurship education and training tools.
