Chris Gesswein, MT (ASCP), MS, MBA, is the Executive Director and Director of Licensing for Technology Transfer at the Clemson University Research Foundation (CURF) responsible for managing the day-to-day activities associated with commercializing Clemson University’s intellectual property portfolio. Prior to joining CURF, Chris served as the VP of Business Development at Ultradian Diagnostics, a clinical-stage biosensor medical device company developing a next generation continuous glucose monitoring system to help people with diabetes more effectively manage their disease. In this role, Chris was responsible for business strategy and planning, capital fund-raising, IP management, and FDA regulatory approval/compliance.

Chris has over 20 years of business experience bringing various technologies from concept to market working as a new product development and technology transfer specialist for early-stage as well as large multi-national companies.

Chris received a BA from West Virginia University, an MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
